Readers, writers and word lovers from all over the world are invited to try out for Word Cup, our new online English vocabulary championship!


Word Cup Details

Who can participate?

Everyone who is 14 years or older on January 1, 2010. Register today to be invited when your age group tries out!

Tryouts:

Are divided in three age categories and scheduled throughout the year.

Location:

Online. All three Word Cup rounds take place on the Internet, with increasing levels of supervision.

Cost:

Participation is free!

Supporters:

You're invited to support the Word Cup fund.
Your contribution boosts prizes, covers event expenses, and supports the Word Cup Literacy Fund.

Prizes:

Prizes are awarded in three age categories:
14-30 years, 31-50 years, 51 and older.
Supporters also gain access to the Word Cup 2.0 prizes raised by the community.

Rewards:

Additional rewards make sure that anyone has a chance to win, regardless of skill level.
Rewards are given to contestants who show the largest improvement over previous year's performance.

Sure winner:

Literacy! With your help, Word Cup will become the premier literacy fund raiser on the Internet.
