New Spin for Summer: Get Spell-Bound
Free 3-month Spell-a-thons Raise Skills and Funds
Sebastopol, CA. (3/17/2009) - Students from up to 100 schools will receive free online vocabulary and spelling coaching for the months of June, July and August of 2009, along with the chance to win their school’s “spell-a-thon” and raise funds.
The summer activity is provided by eSpindle Learning. The nonprofit organization’s award-winning website, www.eSpindle.org, provides customized vocabulary and spelling tutoring online.
eSpindle, available via subscription, tailors each learning session to the needs of the individual student, drawing on a database of 100,000 words. The website provides detailed reporting, so teachers can review their students’ efforts with one click.
By staging a “spell-a-thon” schools honor the students who studied the largest number of words during these three months. eSpindle’s built-in reporting tools determine the winner. Students can form teams to see who is in the lead via constantly updated reports.
Personalized certificates boost motivation as students graduate from level to level.
Since eSpindle provides 100% targeted practice, even a 3-month license produces significant results.
Schools also receive a 20% donation to their fund raising drive for all subscriptions resulting from the offer. This donation applies to both site license purchases and parents enrolling their children individually.
Schools receive a 20% donation for the duration of enrollment, which is documented via detailed online reporting.
Parents can even “pay” for membership and raise funds for their school without spending an extra penny by earning free points. These points can be earned via online search and referrals, Scrip programs, or by patronizing eSpindle’s online mall, featuring affiliate links to hundreds of popular websites.
Getting started is easy:
Visit www.eSpindle.org/spellathon before the end of May and complete the application, specifying the total number of students.
Enter “spellathon” into the comments field, and assign a contact person. Teacher and student accounts can be created during the sign-up process or at a later time.
Only condition for participating:
Schools need to make the offer available to all students, and place a link to www.eSpindle.org on their school’s website.
Unlimited support and professional development are provided and eSpindle Learning will create print-ready flyers to send home with the students.
