Sebastopol, CA. (March 12th, 2008)
- eSpindle Learning, a leading provider for online vocabulary
and
spelling tutoring, is now
streaming free audio to FreeRice.com to enhance the
learning experience of students and word lovers using the site.
"It's a collaboration among like
minds," says Rosevita Warda, founder and Executive Director of
eSpindle Learning. "The concept of FreeRice.com is brilliant,
and we share its vision of empowering people around the world by
supporting them in building their vocabulary. eSpindle is
delighted to be able to enhance this great project with audio
resources, making it an even more valuable tool for learners
around the world."
FreeRice.com is a free web site
that donates 20 grains of rice for every multiple choice
vocabulary question a visitor answers correctly. The concept is
financed through advertisements, and operated not-for-profit by
founder John Breen.
Launched in October 2007,
FreeRice.com has seen stellar growth and is making a difference
for people all over the world.

eSpindle Learning, a nonprofit
organization, offers individualized online vocabulary and
spelling practice to help students of all ages become confident
readers and writers.
The online tutoring service delivers customized learning
sessions based on a student's personal learning profile, and
matches every membership with a free license for a disadvantaged
student.
The audio resources streaming to
FreeRice.com are part of a database of 100,000 words that the
eSpindle team created to assist its members.
"It's like using a candle to light
another - it's the kind of sharing that creates abundance," says
Warda. "By empowering FreeRice.com we can maximize the value our
resources have for learners all over the world. In this simple
act of sharing, more is created - more education, more
knowledge, more light."
