The online tutoring service delivers customized learning sessions based on a proprietary database of more than 100,000 words.
The organization was established in 2004 and matches every membership with a free license for a disadvantaged student.

Word Cup Facts:

Is an international competition created by eSpindle Learning, supported by Oxford University Press and a large alliance of online partners.

Is designed to raise awareness for the value of a broad vocabulary, and to connect those with advanced verbal skills with those who are struggling with language.

Quizzes participants on vocabulary knowledge and spelling skills in a time-restricted environment.

Utilizes a patent-pending online quiz module so contestants from around the world can participate.

Invites participants of all ages, youth as well as adults.

Offers free practice quizzes in Word Cup format at www.eSpindle.org/free_quiz.

Awards prizes in four age categories, with the highest-scoring contestant becoming the Champion of Champions.

Additional rewards give all contestants a chance to win. Future Word Cups will also reward personal improvement.

Trying out is free. A small contribution is requested from participants over age 18 during the semifinals and finals.
